Previous travels

Between the summer of 91 – 92 I worked as a Cultural Representative for the United Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Florida.

My job at the EPCOT Centre was to sell Paddington Bear, Peter Rabbit etc to the visitors and talk about life in the UK.

There were 2,500 of us working there from 11 different countries and living at an apartment complex called Vista Way. If you didn’t have fun during your time at Disney it was your own fault!

During 1993 I worked as an English teacher in Bangkok, Thailand.

I taught students at the British-American School and also delivered lessons ‘on-site’ for the Bangkok Bank. Hertz Rentals and other companies. Some of my students became my friends and made sure I enjoyed a great Thai experience.

I also travelled to Malaysia, Taiwan and Japan during my time in the Far East. Whilst in Taiwan I got to sing in front of more than 65,000 people. Excellent!

Still walking...

On a much smaller scale, in the summer of 2007 I walked 215 miles from Cardiff to Chelmsford, with a helicopter on my head (of course...)

This walk raised over £800 for the Air Ambulance Services.

Was good to be back on the road!
